We’re pleased to share six new healthcare focused recipes featuring egg and potato products that feature 10 grams or more of protein per serving and limited sodium content. The recipes include breakfast, lunch and dinner concepts so you can use eggs as a protein source throughout the day. All of the recipes use ingredients that are typically found in a healthcare foodservice operation and include the preparation method and a nutritional analysis. The recipes are simple to execute and designed specifically for healthcare production.
Lower sodium recipes are beneficial to promote healthy blood pressures. At least 58% of individuals who are over 65 years of age have hypertension (healthygov.org). Higher protein consumption is also beneficial for immune compromised individuals, people who have sustained an injury, and the elderly population.
