1908 The DeStefano-Papetti family begins selling fresh eggs from a farm in Elizabeth, NJ.
1926
1926 Nathan’s Produce is founded and delivers fresh eggs to the Twin Cities, evolving over time to become Crystal Farms.
1950
1950 Milton Waldbaum establishes an egg products company in Nebraska. The company is acquired by Michael Foods in 1988.
1951
1951 Northern Star Co., the maker of Simply Potatoes®, is founded in Minnesota.
1987
1987 Michael Foods, Inc. is formed.
1997
1997 Michael Foods acquires Papetti’s Hygrade Egg Products, Inc.
2008
2008 Michael Foods acquires Mr. B’s of Abbotsford, maker of Abbotsford Farms® cage-free products.
2015
2015 Michael Foods acquires Willamette Egg Farms, LLP, based in Canby, Oregon.
2016
2016 Michael Foods acquires National Pasteurized Eggs, Inc.
2018
2018 Post acquires Bob Evans Farms® (Founded in 1948). (Pineland Farms® was acquired by BEF Foods in 2017.)
2020
2020 Michael Foods acquires Henningsen Foods.
2021
2021 Michael Foods acquires Almark Foods.
